About Never Strangers

Never Strangers is a social experience platform operated by Never Strangers Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202546215N), registered in Singapore with its registered address at 60 Paya Lebar Road #06-28, Paya Lebar Square, Singapore 409051.

We organise curated in-person social events designed to connect like-minded individuals in a welcoming, fun, and respectful environment. Our mission is to help people build genuine human connections through shared experiences.

Eligibility

To use our services and attend our events, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be an individual acting in a personal (non-commercial) capacity.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of Singapore or your country of residence.
• Hold a registered and approved Never Strangers account at the time of attending any event.
• Have a confirmed booking for the specific event you attend.
• Not have been previously banned or suspended from Never Strangers unless explicitly reinstated in writing by us.
• Not have been convicted of a violent crime, sexual offence, or any crime involving dishonesty or harm to others.

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to refuse or revoke access to anyone who does not meet these requirements, at our sole discretion.

Account Registration & Vetting

Access to Never Strangers events is restricted to registered members who have been vetted and approved by us. There are no walk-in admissions. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including your legal name, date of birth, and contact details.
• Upload a genuine, recent photograph of yourself that clearly shows your face.
• Complete any identity verification steps required by us before your account is approved.
• Not impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity or affiliations.
• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others.
• Notify us immediately at hello@thisisneverstrangers.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

Account approval is at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to decline or revoke registration without being required to provide a reason. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Identity Verification

To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, we require identity verification as part of the registration process. This may include:

• Submission of a government-issued photo ID (e.g. NRIC, passport, or driver's licence).
• Submission of a selfie for comparison against your submitted ID.
• Any additional verification steps deemed necessary by us.

Your verification data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Verification information is used solely for the purpose of confirming your identity and is not shared with third parties without your consent except as required by law.

Event Attendance & Bookings

5.1 Pre-Booked Attendance Only

All Never Strangers events operate on a strictly pre-booked basis. To attend any event, you must hold a registered and vetted Never Strangers account and have a confirmed booking for that specific event made through our platform. Walk-ins are not permitted under any circumstances.

5.2 Guests & Plus-Ones

Attending with a guest or plus-one is not permitted unless that individual holds their own registered, vetted, and approved Never Strangers account and has made their own confirmed booking for the same event. Bringing unregistered individuals will result in refusal of entry and may result in disciplinary action on your account.

5.3 Event Types

Never Strangers organises a range of in-person social experiences including but not limited to drinks events, social gatherings, and other curated experiences. Event formats, venues, and group compositions will be communicated through the platform in advance of each event.

5.4 Group Matching & Composition

Where applicable, we use a combination of your profile information and preferences to create balanced and compatible groups. While we strive to create enjoyable group dynamics, we do not guarantee:

• A specific number of attendees at your event.
• Any particular gender ratio, age range, or demographic composition.
• That you will not encounter someone you have previously met at a Never Strangers event.
• Chemistry or compatibility with other participants.

5.5 Venue & Logistics

Event details including venue addresses will be communicated to registered attendees through the platform. We reserve the right to change the venue or event details at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Never Strangers is not liable for any inconvenience resulting from such changes.

5.6 Food, Drink & Dietary Requirements

Unless explicitly stated in the event listing, the cost of food and beverages is not included in the event booking fee and is entirely your responsibility. We will endeavour to take dietary restrictions and preferences into account when selecting venues, but we cannot guarantee allergen-free environments or the availability of specific menu options.

Pricing, Payment & Cancellation

6.1 Booking Fees

Some events require payment of a booking fee, as indicated at the time of booking. All prices are listed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) or the applicable local currency, inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

6.2 Refund Policy

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event are eligible for a full refund to the original payment method, processed within 5–10 business days.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the event date, regardless of the reason, including illness, change of plans, or any other personal circumstance. By completing a booking, you acknowledge and accept this policy.

6.3 No-Shows

Failure to attend a confirmed event without prior notice constitutes a no-show. No refund is provided for no-shows. Repeated no-shows may result in suspension of your account.

6.4 Repeated Late Cancellations

Three or more late cancellations (within 7 days of an event) within any rolling two-month period may result in temporary suspension or permanent removal from the platform, at our discretion.

6.5 Cancellation by Never Strangers

In exceptional circumstances, including insufficient bookings, venue unavailability, or safety concerns, we may cancel an event. Affected attendees will be notified as soon as possible and provided a full refund. Never Strangers is not liable for any additional costs incurred in connection with a cancelled event.

Subscriptions & Memberships

Never Strangers may offer subscription or membership plans that provide access to recurring events or additional features. Subscriptions begin on the purchase date and renew automatically for successive periods of equal length unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@thisisneverstrangers.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We will provide advance notice of any material changes to subscription pricing or terms.

Community Standards & Code of Conduct

Never Strangers is built on mutual respect, openness, and genuine human connection. By joining our community and attending our events, you agree to:

• Treat all attendees, staff, and venue partners with dignity and respect.
• Arrive punctually to events. If you anticipate being late, notify us in advance.
• Represent yourself honestly. Do not misrepresent your age, appearance, profession, or identity.
• Respect personal boundaries and the consent of others at all times.
• Not use events or the platform for commercial solicitation, recruitment, political campaigning, or any promotional purpose.
• Not record, photograph, or film other attendees without their explicit consent.
• Not engage in any form of harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or offensive behaviour, including conduct based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability, or age.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Solicit personal, financial, or sensitive information from other users.
• Use, access, or attempt to access another user's account.
• Allow another person to use your account or attend an event on your behalf.
• Create a new account after suspension or termination without our express written authorisation.
• Develop or use third-party applications that interact with our services without our prior written consent.
• Engage in any activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or disruptive to others.
• Post or transmit any content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringes any third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or otherwise extract data or content from the platform.

Violations may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to the relevant authorities.

Safety

The safety of our community is paramount. We have implemented the following measures to protect all participants:

• Mandatory identity verification for all registered members.
• A vetting and approval process for all new accounts before access is granted.
• A zero-tolerance policy for harassment, misconduct, and threatening behaviour.
• A strict policy whereby serious violations may result in immediate and permanent account termination.

Never Strangers is not responsible for the conduct or actions of individual attendees before, during, or after events.

Marketing & Communications

Where you have opted in to receive marketing and event communications during registration, we may contact you with information about upcoming events, offers, and news. Your consent is collected separately at registration, in accordance with Singapore's PDPA.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at hello@thisisneverstrangers.com. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional communications related to your bookings or account.

In-Platform Messaging

The Never Strangers platform may provide a messaging feature enabling communication with other registered members you have connected with through our events. This feature is subject to these Terms and our Community Standards. We reserve the right to monitor communications for safety and compliance purposes. Misuse, including harassment, unsolicited solicitation, or any prohibited activity, may result in account suspension or termination.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Never Strangers platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and data, is owned by or licensed to Never Strangers Pte. Ltd. and is protected under applicable Singapore and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without our prior written consent.

By submitting content to the platform (including profile photographs), you grant Never Strangers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the service, for as long as your account remains active.

Privacy & Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference, explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (Singapore).

By using Never Strangers, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy. We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

We may analyse member information to understand how people connect, to improve our events and platform, and to produce aggregated, anonymised insights about social and lifestyle trends. These insights are statistical, they never identify you, and they may be published or shared with partners. Aggregated insights are not personal data, and sharing them is not a sale of your personal data.

Data collected for identity verification and vetting purposes is handled securely and used solely for those purposes.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Never Strangers is an event organisation and social connection platform. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from attendance at our events, including but not limited to friendships, relationships, business connections, or any other personal outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Never Strangers Pte. Ltd. and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any personal injury, loss, or damage sustained at or in connection with an event, unless directly caused by our proven negligence.
• The conduct or actions of any attendee before, during, or after an event.
• Any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the platform.
• Any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special losses of any kind.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under Singapore law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Never Strangers Pte. Ltd. and its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your use of the platform; (c) your attendance at any event; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.

Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this document. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or through the platform. Your continued use of the service after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Account Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@thisisneverstrangers.com. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, posed a risk to other members, or conducted yourself in a manner inconsistent with the spirit of our community.

Upon termination, your right to access the platform and attend events ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature survive termination, including intellectual property, indemnity, limitation of liability, and governing law, will continue to apply.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms at any time does not constitute a waiver of that right. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Never Strangers Pte. Ltd. with respect to your use of the service and supersede all prior agreements or representations.
